F.I.C.B.
The Order of Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba is an active member of the F.I.C.B., a not-for-profit association created in 1964 under French law and based in the Paris Wine Museum.
The aims of the F.I.C.B. are to:
• raise awareness of wine-growing regions across the globe and their products;
• publicize and promote wine brotherhoods which maintain traditions and spread knowledge of their regional wines and good food;
• facilitate the friendly exchange of information and experience among its members.
F.I.C.B. International Congress was canceled due to COVID-19
The 51st F.I.C.B. Congress in Italy it is canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
The 51st F.I.C.B. should have taken place in Alba and Piedmont from 4 to 10 June 2020. The organizers, the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba and Langhe-Experience Tours & events, had developed a very interesting program that allowed to discover the their beautiful region and their prestigious wines (Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco in particular) in exceptional conditions.
The COVID 19 pandemic has meanwhile affected all of humanity and the Congress was unable to take place on the scheduled dates. The organizers and the executive committee of the F.I.C.B. have therefore decided to postpone the Congress for one year (from 3 to 9 June 2021), with the same program and the same financial conditions.
Unfortunately, the pandemic situation around the world is not improving as we all hoped and the outlook remains uncertain, with the spread of variants and the slow introduction of vaccines. Consequently, the logistical, health and safety conditions necessary for the organization of the event do not exist.
With the current restrictions, the spirit of sociality, cordiality, aggregation and cultural exchange of the Congress would be lacking. With a view to civil and moral responsibility, the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba, the tour operator Langhe Experience – Tours & Events and the FICB office have decided together, after years of commitment and dedication to this project, to cancel the event.
F.I.C.B. has decided to give priority to the Knights of Alba to organize a F.I.C.B. in 2024 or 2025.
The next F.I.C.B. are therefore the following:
– The 2nd International Tasting of F.I.C.B. which will take place in Hungary from 2 to 7 June 2022 in the regions of Eger and Budapest, organized by the Ladies of Pannonia.
– The International Congress of the F.I.C.B. which will take place in Portugal from 24 to 30 May 2023 in the region of Porto and Douro, and in the region of Lisbon and Alentejo, organized by the Portuguese Bacchic brotherhoods.
Unfortunately, the Covid19 pandemic that has affected all of humanity has made it impossible to hold the Congress on the scheduled dates. F.I.C.B. and the organizers therefore decided to cancel the Congress.

Il 51 ° Congresso F.I.C.B. avrebbe dovuto svolgersi ad Alba e in Piemonte dal 4 al 10 giugno 2020. Gli organizzatori, l’Ordine dei Cavalieri del Tartufo e dei Vini d’Alba e Langhe-Experience Tours & events, avevano sviluppato un programma molto interessante che consentiva di scoprire la loro bellissima regione ed i loro prestigiosi vini (Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco in particolare) in condizioni eccezionali.
La pandemia COVID 19 ha nel frattempo colpito tutta l’umanità e il Congresso non ha potuto svolgersi nelle date previste. Gli organizzatori e il comitato esecutivo della F.I.C.B. hanno quindi deciso di rinviare di un anno il Congresso (dal 3 al 9 giugno 2021), con lo stesso programma e le stesse condizioni finanziarie.
Purtroppo, la situazione pandemica nel mondo non sta migliorando come tutti speravamo e le prospettive rimangono incerte, con la diffusione di varianti e la lenta introduzione dei vaccini. Conseguentemente non sussistono le condizioni logistiche, sanitarie e di sicurezza necessarie all’organizzazione della manifestazione.
Con le attuali restrizioni verrebbe a mancare lo spirito di socialità, cordialità, aggregazione e scambio culturale del Congresso. In un’ottica di responsabilità civile e morale, l’Ordine dei Cavalieri del Tartufo e dei Vini d’Alba, il tour operator Langhe Experience – Tours & Events e l’ufficio FICB hanno deciso insieme, dopo anni di impegno e dedizione a questo progetto, di annullare l’evento.
Gli organizzatori ringraziano tutti coloro che hanno lavorato duramente per organizzare il Congresso, che hanno creduto in questo progetto e che si sono iscritti per partecipare, e sperano di accogliere presto la F.I.C.B. e i suoi membri nelle splendide colline delle Langhe, che ogni giorno si fanno più luminose e vibranti dei colori della primavera.
La F.I.C.B. ha deciso di dare priorità ai Cavalieri d’Alba per organizzare un Congressi F.I.C.B. nel 2024 o 2025.
I prossimi Congressi F.I.C.B. previsti sono quindi i seguenti:
– La 2° Degustazione Internazionale di vini F.I.C.B. che si svolgerà in Ungheria dal 2 al 7 giugno 2022 nelle regioni di Eger e Budapest, organizzata dalle Signore della Pannonia.
– Il Congresso Internazionale della F.I.C.B. che si svolgerà in Portogallo dal 24 al 30 maggio 2023 nella regione di Porto e Douro, e nella regione di Lisbona e Alentejo, organizzato dalle confraternite bacchiche portoghesi.
Sfortunatamente, la pandemia di Covid19 che ha colpito l’intera umanità ha reso impossibile svolgere il Congresso nelle date previste. La F.I.C.B. e gli organizzatori hanno pertanto deciso di annullare il Congresso.

Le 51e congrès de la F.I.C.B. devait se tenir à Alba et dans la région du Piémont du 4 au 10 juin 2020. Les organisateurs, l’Ordre des Chevaliers de la Truffe et des Vins d’Alba et Langhe-Experience Tours&events, avaient mis au point un programme très attractif permettant de découvrir leur belle région et leurs vins prestigieux (Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco notamment) dans des conditions exceptionnelles.
La pandémie COVID 19 a entre-temps frappé l’humanité entière et le Congrès n’a pas pu avoir lieu aux dates prévues. Les organisateurs et le comité exécutif de la F.I.C.B. ont donc décidé de reporter le Congrès d’un an (du 3 au 9 juin 2021), avec le même programme et les mêmes conditions financières.
Malheureusement, la situation de la pandémie dans le monde ne s’améliore pas comme nous l’espérions tous et les perspectives restent incertaines, avec la propagation des variants et le lent déploiement des vaccins. En conséquence, les conditions logistiques, sanitaires et de sécurité nécessaires à l’organisation de l’événement ne sont pas réunies.
Avec les restrictions actuelles, l’esprit de sociabilité, de convivialité, de rassemblement et d’échange culturel du Congrès ferait défaut. Dans une perspective de responsabilité civile et morale, l’Ordre des Chevaliers de la Truffe et des Vins d’Alba, le tour opérateur Langhe Experience – Tours & Events et le bureau de la FICB ont décidé ensemble, après des années d’engagement et de dévouement à ce projet, d’annuler l’événement.
La F.I.C.B. a décidé de donner la priorité aux Chevaliers d’Alba pour organiser un Congrès de la F.I.C.B. en 2024 ou 2025.
Les prochains évènements F.I.C.B. prévus sont donc les suivants :
– Le 2ème Challenge International F.I.C.B. de Dégustation de Vins qui aura lieu en Hongrie du 2 au 7 juin 2022 dans les régions d’Eger et de Budapest, organisé par les Dames de Pannonie,
– Le Congrès international de la F.I.C.B. aura lieu au Portugal du 24 au 30 mai 2023 dans la région de Porto et du Douro, et dans la région de Lisbonne et de l’Alentejo, organisé par les confréries bachiques portugaises.
